Obtaining a Garden Spot:

If you choose to use the Douden Park Community Gardens a plot will be assigned by the Community Garden Representative. There is a currently a $50 fee to be assigned a plot. This is to be paid to the PIPOA office. Once paid the Community Garden Representative will contact the new Garden Plot owner to discuss the specifics of which plot.

Maintenance of the Community Gardens:

The Douden Park Community Garden is sponsored by the Padre Isles Property Owners Association. Maintenance of the gardens is completed by the Garden Plot holders. This is facilitated through the Community Garden Representative with the full support of the POA.

Current Drought Status:

The current drought status of Stage 3 Urgent allows for the following per the City of Corpus Christi: "Some limited watering is allowed during Stage 3. While regular lawn watering and using automatic irrigation systems are temporarily paused, you can water trees, vegetable beds, shrubs, and potted plants with a hand-held hose with a shut-off nozzle on any day before 10:00 a.m. or after 6:00 p.m." The Douden Park Community Gardens are subject to these watering restrictions and have a water source to utilize for watering of the Garden Plots.
